Putnam County Woman Arrested On Child Pornography Charges: Sheriff

She was charged with 3 felony counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child under the age of 17, and released on her own recognizance.

SOUTHEAST, NY — A Hudson Valley woman is facing child pornography charges after a tip to the New York State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Putnam County Sheriff Kevin J. McConville says the Southeast woman was arrested after a monthslong investigation.

Investigators were notified by the New York State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, in July of 2024, of a cyber tip related to sexually explicit videos and images that were being transmitted from a Putnam County address.

The investigation included gathering computer forensic evidence through subpoenas.

On February 18, a search warrant was executed at the home of 32-year-old Danielle Sawicki.

She was interviewed and charged with three felony counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child under the age of 17.

Sawicki was arraigned in the Town of Southeast Court where she was released on her own recognizance with a future court date scheduled.
