Teen Arrested By Sheriff's Investigators, Homeland Security After Child Sex Abuse Material Investigation
The 18-year-old Southeast resident was charge with 18 felony counts related to internet crimes against child, according to the sheriff.

SOUTHEAST, NY — An investigation by federal, state and local authorities led to a raid at a Putnam County home, according to officials.
Acting Putnam County Sheriff Brian Hess says that 18-year-old Wanderson Jimenez-Pinto, of Southeast, was arrested after an investigation into child sexual abuse material.
The investigation began in July, when the Putnam County Sheriff's Office was contacted by the New York State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

On October 2, Putnam County Sheriff's Office investigators, with the help of special agents and investigators from Homeland Security Investigations — New York's Hudson Valley office, executed a search warrant at a home in Southeast.
Several electronic devices were seized and found to contain images and files constituting child sexual abuse material, according to law enforcement.

Jimenez-Pinto was then arrested and charged with nine felony counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child, and nine felony counts of possession of sexual performance by a child.
He was arraigned in the Town of Kent Court and was remanded to the Putnam County Correctional Facility where bail was set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
