A 22-year-old Southeast man is facing a misdemeanor charge of drunken driving following a recent traffic stop on Route 6, near Joes Hill Road, in Southeast, police say.
Troopers from the Southeast Barracks arrested James C. Cherry at about 1:20 a.m. Saturday on Route 6. He was reportedly traveling in a 2009 Dodge Calliber at about 78 mph.
Cherry refused to submit to a breath test. Officials also charged him with a couple of infractions.

The defendant is due in court April 30.
