Wanted: Brewster's Woman of Distinction

Brewster leaders are asking for public input when it comes to selecting an outstanding woman for the 40th Senate District's Women Of Distinction Hall of Fame. 

Last year, the village nominated members of the Brewster-Carmel Garden Club. Dozens of women from across the area were honored at that event, hosted by State Sen. Greg Ball (R, C—Patterson). This year's ceremony is slated for Aug. 17 at the Putnam County Emergency Services Building (on Old Route 6 in Carmel). 

Suggestions, with reason, should be submitted to Mayor Jim Schoenig (jschoenig@brewstervillage-ny.gov) by April 17.
