What's Open/Closed On Thanksgiving Day Near Southeast/Brewster?

What’s closed on Thanksgiving and what’s open? Government offices are closed on this day of thanks and there will be no mail delivery from the U.S. Post Office. There is also no UPS or FedEx pickup or delivery.

On Wednesday November 23, 2016 the Brewster Village offices, court and DPW will close for the holiday weekend at 1 P.M. Village operations will continue to be closed Thursday, Thanksgiving Day and Friday, November 25th and will reopen for normal business on Monday November 28, 2016.

Public libraries are closed and school will be out for the rest of the week.

Many businesses are closed, but don’t panic if you forgot to get pumpkin pie or another essential ingredient for your holiday dinner. Stores that are open include Shop Rite, Hannaford, Key Food, Associated supermarkets and Target. Walmart is open for limited hours on Thanksgiving and longer hours on Black Friday. Stew Leonards in Yonkers and Danbury will be open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
