(mostly) TRUE THINGS is a game wrapped in a storytelling show, in which a line-up of performers tell a true, personal story from their own life. The theme for this show's stories is NEW START. All the stories are true, but some include subtle details that are not entirely true. The audience gets to question the storytellers. The whole truth comes out in the end. There are prizes involved, if you can believe a thing like that (you can!) This show has comedy, heart and the game. It's a great, entertaining evening. The Atelier is excited to present our limited Artist Closet Clean-Out Exhibition, featuring artworks by the Atelier's students...

The Atelier at Flowerfield is once again offering an opportunity for students to exhibit their artwork! This exhibition encourages the work of Middle and High School student artists in all visual arts (except photography/video, jewelry, or reproductions of work (i.e. Giclee’s/prints of artwork)). The exhibition will be held in The Atelier’s 2,000 square-foot gallery, which functions both as a professional studio space and exhibition area.
Middle School and High School Student Artists may submit up to three (3) images of original artworks.
Prizes to be awarded:
<ul><li>First Place: Cash prize of $150</li><li>Second Place: Cash prize of $100</li><li>Third Place: Cash prize of $50</li></ul>
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
<ul><li>Submissions must be received no later than January 16, 2026</li><li>Accepted works will be notified by January 23rd, 2026</li><li>Work should be received by January 30, 2026</li><li>Entry fee: $25 Per Student</li><li>Accepted works must be framed or gallery wrapped and ready to hang</li><li>Opening Reception is on Saturday, March 7th, 12 PM - 2 PM</li></ul>

This is a great opportunity to speak informally with many local preschools all in one room, ask questions, and help narrow down your search. This event has no registration and is open to the public. Gallery North

This 8-week clay workshop marks Gallery North’s exciting introduction into ceramics as a studio offering! Taught by Long Island ceramic artist Jessamyn Go, this course is designed for adults and advanced teens (ages 13+) who are curious about clay or serious about developing their artistic skills.

Each two-hour session includes live demonstrations and guided studio time. Over the 8 weeks, students will complete four elevated ceramic projects—each completed over two weeks—with a focus on both technique and personal expression. Sample projects include:
<ul><li>Project 1- Lidded Pinch Pot;&nbsp;Explore advanced pinch pot construction with lid fitting. (1/18 &amp; 1/25)</li><li>Project 2-Coiled Orchid Planter;&nbsp;Build a functional planter using coiling methods. (2/1 &amp; 2/8)</li><li>Project 3- Slab Block Vase;&nbsp;Design and construct an elegant block-style vase from custom templates. (3/1 &amp; 3/8)</li><li>Project 4- Abstract Cylindrical Lighting Sculpture;&nbsp;Create a sculptural lantern with cutouts and texture. (3/15 &amp; 3/22)</li></ul>
Can't make it to all&nbsp; eight classes? No worries! You can register for just one or more of the projects!&nbsp;
All materials, tools, and kiln firings are included in the fee, making this an accessible way to explore clay without hidden costs. Please note: due to the small size of our kiln, there will be size limitations on completed works to ensure thoughtful use of studio resources.
Whether you’re new to ceramics or looking to deepen your practice, this workshop offers a fun, creative, and skill-building introduction to the world of clay.
