Woman Jumps To Death From Upper East Side Building, Police Say

The woman was pronounced dead after being taken to NYU Hospital.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A woman jumped to her death Tuesday morning from an Upper East Side high-rise building, an NYPD spokesman said.

The woman's body was found in front of a building on East 74th Street near Second Avenue around 11:30 a.m., police said. EMS rushed the woman to NYU Hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said.

Investigators believe the woman jumped from the 15th floor balcony of the building, police said.
