Event in honor of millions killed during World War II slated for Sunday evening at Temple B'nai Torah.

Three local synagogues are joining forces this weekend in remembrance of atrocities committed during the Holocaust 70 years ago.

Temple B’nai Torah and Congregation Beth Tikvah in Wantagh as well as North Massapequa's Congregation Beth-El are hosting a service for Holocaust Remembrance Day on Sunday evening at 7 p.m. The event will be taking place at Temple B’nai Torah on 2900 Jerusalem Ave. in Wantagh and remember the memories of millions killed during the Holocaust inflicted by Hitler’s Nazi Germany during World War II.  The service is also aimed at honoring Holocaust survivors through readings, music and prayer.

Attendees at Sunday’s event are asked to bring a non-perishable food item that will be donated to FEGS Health and Human Services System.
