SEAFORD, NY — Multiple NICE buses parked in a lot in Seaford caught fire on Saturday, sending up smoke that was seen for miles around.

Officials say that about 10 buses were on fire when firefighters arrived at the lot inside Cedar Creek Park just after 6 p.m.

According to NICE Bus, the vehicles were decommissioned.

Firefighters from the Seaford, Wantagh, Bellmore and Massapequa fire departments responded to the scene. It took them about an hour to put out the fire.

The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
