New Wantagh Red Mango Now Open

National frozen yogurt franchise Red Mango has opened its latest Long Island location in Wantagh.

The Wantagh Red Mango opened for business on Sunrise Highway last Thursday. It is the first business to open in a new shopping center at the former Nassau OTB property acquired by developer Larry Weinberger MGD Investments in Bellmore two years ago. An Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza and one other business are also planned for the 0.72-acre parcel on 3240 Sunrise Hwy. at the corner Seaford Avenue that Weinberger purchased for $3.4 million.

The hours of operation for the Wantagh Red Mango is Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays. A grand opening celebration with free yogurt offerings is planned for Oct. 20.

Dallas-based Red Mango specializes in natural low calorie frozen yogurt and smoothies. The dessert franchise also recently opened a new location in nearby Levittown.
