[VIDEO] Veterans Day 2011 in White Plains
Hundreds attended the ceremony held at the White Plains Rural Cemetery on Friday, Nov. 11.
Local residents descended upon the soldiers and sailors memorial plot at the Friday to pay tribute to veterans for their dedication and service to our country.
The Jewish War Veterans Post #191 hosted the City’s annual Veterans Day celebration. Acting Commissioner of Recreation and Parks, Fran Croughan, gave the opening remarks while Col. Wayne McGrath, chair of the mayor’s Memorial and Veterans Day board, served as master of ceremonies.
