Aging in Place Aids Elderly in White Plains
The 70 all-volunteer member organization is ready to assist White Plains senior citizens with transportation, home help needs and more.

Less than , the all-volunteer organization is improving the lives of local senior citizens so they can spend the rest of their days in their White Plains homes.
"Our all-volunteer group now has about 70 members," said Co-President Paul Schwartz. "We've had a number of events, and more are planned. Our volunteers stand ready to assist members with transportation, help in the home, and a list of services."
Aging in Place in White Plains members pay $100 for the year or $150 per household, and enjoy the following services:

- Rides to appointments, stores and events
- Meal delivery/preparation
- Home maintenance and repair
- Health and wellness
- Professional and financial services
- Techonology assistance with computers, DVDs, TVs
- Information on community resources
Aging in Place in White Plains plans to also offer programs like: excerisce and fitness classes and activities; social gatherings; visits to museums, concerts, movies, etc.; classes, lectures and other educational opportunities.
