Some of the brightest and most beautiful girls in the region competed at the White Plains Performing Arts Center this week for the chance to represent Westchester and the Hudson Valley region at the 2013 Miss New York USA and Miss New York Teen USA pageants in January.
Chosen by the esteemed panel of judges were: Brittany Smith, 15, of Ossining, Miss Westchester Teen 2013; Kristy Abreu, 19, of Yonkers, Miss Westchester 2013; Marissa Matzen, 17, of Melrose, Miss Hudson Valley Teen 2013; Jessica Pinckney, 25, of New York City, Miss Hudson Valley 2013.

Future Star Studios of New York City, presented acting/singing/dancing/modeling scholarships valued at over $140,000 to all 24 contestants. Celebrity Hosts for the evening were Kandice Pelletier, Miss New York (America) 2005 who was featured on both CBS Emmy Award winning show Amazing Race and MTV’s hit show MADE, and Chris Saltalamacchio, coach and stylist for MTV’s MADE and Oxygen’s Jersey Couture.
The audience was entertained by singer Kenny Metzger. Judging the Teen competition were: Noel D‘Allacco, founder Operation PROM; Michael Wohltmann, owner Strata Health Club; Michelle Lou of Riverstone Yoga; Jeremy Quinn, Artistic Director WPPAC; Lisa Drouillard, Miss New York Teen USA 2011.

Judging the Miss competition were: Kelvin Guevara, founder Wizical.com; Sandy Jackson, radio personality; Amanda Modugno, Westchester County Tourism & Film; Maria Lago, founder 3PR; Peter Fanelli, founder United Stage Associates. Media Judges were Jovan C. Richards of WVOX and Jennifer Walfors of Found In Yonkers.
The Judges Coordinator was Sacha von Loewenstein. Official Pageant Auditors, Amy Brelia, The Brelia Group, and Terry O’Keefe, tabulated the results. The pageant production was choreographed by Miss Westchester 2011, Christina DeLeon. The beneficiary of the People’s Choice fundraiser was Operation PROM.
Special guests attending the event were New York State Assemblyman Bob Castelli and John Stepanian, President of Future Star Studios. Executive Directors for the pageants are Dee van Eyck of Larchmont, and Laura Giannone of Hastings.
