Learn to Swim With White Plains Recreation

The fall and winter months are the perfect time to strengthen your child’s swimming skills or introduce them to swimming.

“Learn to Swim” opportunities are available throughout the fall and winter months in White Plains through the City’s Recreation and Parks Department and our community partners, The White Plains YMCA and The White Plains YWCA.

Additionally, the White Plains High School pool is available for recreational swimming on Friday evenings from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. beginning Oct. 12th when school is in session. This free program is open to all city residents’ ages three years and older who have a current Recreation ID card.

Swimming is an important life skill and an activity that can provide countless hours of enjoyment, exercise and most importantly, water safety awareness.

Parents are encouraged to register their children now for fall andwinter swim programs. You won’t believe what a difference these months can make in enhancing your child’s swimming skills!
