Ardsley Woman Drives Drunk Wrong Way On Thruway: NYSP
Police said she was traveling west in the eastbound lane of Interstate 287 in White Plains.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — An Ardsley woman was accused of driving the wrong way while drunk on the Thruway.
The New York State Police said, around 10:45 p.m. Saturday, troopers responded to a report of a wrong-way driver traveling west in the eastbound lane of Interstate 287 in the city of White Plains.
Ariella L. Richardson, 24, of Ardsley, was driving a 2020 Nissan Rogue which struck a trailer and fled the scene, police said. No injuries were reported.

Troopers located the Nissan and Richardson, who was found to be intoxicated.
She was taken into custody, and at the Tarrytown barracks, her blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.21 percent.

Richardson was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and multiple vehicle and traffic violations.
She was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the City of White Plains Court May 26.
