Bloodied, Drunken Man Spits at Cop's Face: Police

New Rochelle man faces violation charge.

A drunken and bloodied New Rochelle man was arrested on South Broadway in White Plains early Monday morning on the heels of a fight, city police said.

Cops responded to reports of a melee in front of 15 South Broadway at about 2 a.m. Monday, and spotted several people arguing. Among them was a 32-year-old New Rochelle man, who was drunk and bleeding from his face, police said.

When cops tried to prevent the man from reigniting the brawl, he brandished his fist at police and said, "that's why cops die," authorities told Patch.
