Boyfriend and Girlfriend Trade Blows While Holding Child: Police

Man is arrested, charged with two misdemeanors.

A White Plains couple living on Myrtle Street got physical while the girlfriend was holding their 8-month-old son, police said.

The boyfriend and girlfriend—32- and 30-years-old, respectively—spoke with police last Friday when a domestic dispute was phoned in.

The man told cops he never touched his girlfriend, but that she scratched his face, according to police reports.

The woman told cops her boyfriend slapped her and pushed her to the ground while she was holding their son, and then swung at her while she was prone—she said she scratched his face in self-defense, according to cop logs.

Police arrested the man and charged him with endangering the welfare of a child and menacing in the third degree, both misdemeanors.
