City Wows White House with Fatherhood Initiative

White Plains has caused some excitement in the White Plains House—according to former basketball star Thabiti Boone, who serves on President Barack Obama’s Fatherhood and Mentoring Initiative.

Boone presented White Plains Youth Bureau Director and White Plains Mayor Tom Roach with the U.S. President’s Volunteer Service Award for the City’s efforts in leading its own F.
