Cops: Thief Goes on Shopping Spree at Galleria
Police investigate stolen gift cards, according to authorities.

A thief in Scarsdale pocketed several American Express gift cards and went on a shopping spree at the Galleria mall in White Plains, local police said.
Employees at Meritage Properties on Overhill Road in Scarsdale told cops that a stack of gift cards went missing some time last week. The cards—a total of four, with each valued at $100—were pilfered from a desk, cops said.
When police contacted American Express, officials there told cops that the cards had been used to make eight purchases at the Galleria, ranging in price from $6.91 to the full $100.
