Cornel West to Visit White Plains, Talk Chamberlain Shooting
Critic and professor will weigh in on the polemic shooting death of Kenneth Chamberlain, Sr. two years ago.

The controversial shooting death of White Plains resident Kenneth Chamberlain, Sr. will have a celebrity pundit weigh in later this month.
Dr. Cornel West—a professor of African Studies at Princeton University, and popular critic and commentator–will visit the city April 20 for a town hall meeting organized by the Westchester Coalition for Police Reform and the Network for Accountability and Reform.
The evening is expected to tackle issues like police oversight and accountability in Westchester, and questionable police shootings, said event organizers.

Chamberlain, 68-years-old, was killed in his White Plains apartment November of 2011 by White Plains police officers. Authorities were responding to a medical call that quickly turned violent, and then fatal, according to cops.
A grand jury indicted no police officers in Chamberlain's death last May.
