The White Plains Common Council will hold their first meeting of the New Year on Tuesday, Jan. 3 at 7:30 p.m. at .
The council will decide whether to appoint Wayne Bass as the commissioner of the recreation and parks department—and if a public hearing should be held on Feb. 6 in relation to a petition submitted by Doris Sassower to amendment the City’s zoning ordinance to created a provision that establishes “bed and breakfast,” as a principal use in the R1-30 zoning district.

The council will also hold a public hearing on whether health clubs should be a new special permit used in the B-6 enclosed mall-zoning district.
