Donate a Suit, Get 50% Off a New One

Men's Wearhouse's annual National Suit Drive, will benefit the men of the Open Arms Shelter in White Plains.

Help the men of Open Arms Shelter in White Plains get back on their feet by donating gently used business attire now until Aug. 31 at Men’s Wearhouse locations in , Scarsdale, Yorktown Heights and Nanuet.

 “We are thrilled to partner with Men’s Warehouse on this critical effort,” said Charlie Bevier, Deputy Director of  ‘s (GCCC) Open Arms men’s shelter, in a press release.

Men’s Wearhouse is offering a 50 perfect off coupon (excludes shoes), and a tax deduction credit to those who donate during their National Suit Drive. They also plan to donate a tie for every suit received; as well as donate $1 to the cause (up to $10,000) for every “like” they get on Facebook.

“Many men in Westchester are still struggling to find jobs as the economy slowly recovers,” said Bevier. “National Suit Drive will empower these men with the self-confidence that comes from looking sharp, and help them stand out from the crowd of job seekers.”

Men’s Wearhouse collected/donated 200 suits to Open Arms Shelter last year, and hopes to collect 100,000 articles of clothing for similar charities around the country this year.

“With nearly one out of ten working men unemployed in this country—the weak economic recovery has disproportionately hurt the male workforce,” said George Zimmer, Men’s Wearhouse founder and CEO.

“By collecting and donating professional clothing, Men’s Wearhouse aims to help men ‘suit up’ for job interviews and give them an important boost of confidence that will help them reach their goals.”
