Drunk Driver Goes Wrong Way, Flunks Sobriety Test: Police

21-year-old refused to take chemical test, authorities said.

White Plains police stopped a motorist who was driving the wrong way on Main Street last Friday at about 3:24 a.m., and later learned the man was driving drunk, according to reports.

Cops spotted the driver going the wrong way near the Court Street intersection, and pulled over the man, a 21-year-old from Katonah.

Police said they smelled alcohol on the man's breath after pulling him over, and asked the man if he would submit to a field sobriety test—the Katonah man agreed, cops said.
