Happy Election Day White Plains!
Today between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. you will get to participate in government by voting for your locals candidates at the polls.

White Plains Mayor Tom Roach reminds City residents of the importance of exercising your right to vote on Nov. 8.
"I encourage everyone to go and vote for the candidate of your choice," said Roach, at Monday's White Plains Common Council meeting. "This is a right that should be held dearly by all Americans. We have the opportunity to exercise that right, and I hope you all do that."

White Plains Public Schools are closed. Sanitation pick up is Monday and Thursday as usual. No Tuesday pick up as the City is closed for Election Day, so pick up will be Wednesday and Friday. There is no Wednesday paper pick up.

There are two open seats in the ninth judicial district for the State Supreme Court Justice race. Candidates for that race include Edward Borrelli, Robert DiBella and Paul Marx. Click for information on those candidates.
White Plains will also be voting for two seats on the Westchester Board of Legislators, as well as three full-term seats and one unexpired term on the White Plains Common Council.
