Well, you can on White Plains Patch (minus the part about the mountain) by submitting a letter to the editor.
Here’s how:

- If you don’t already have a Patch account, you can quickly create one by clicking “Join” at the top right corner of our homepage
- Enter your name (which will appear as your Patch user name, no aliases please!), your email address (you will use this to log in) and select a password (you will use this to log in). Once your account is set up you can log into any Patch site
- Next, click the "News" tab, then "Announcements", then "Add an Announcement"
- Enter a title (please included Letter to the Editor: before the title) and select the closest category that fits your letter
- You can also add a picture, video or YouTube video
- Letters to the editor must include your full name at the bottom of the letter

If you would like your letter to be featured on the homepage—send the link of the announcement to dina.sciortino@patch.com with your name, phone number and address for verification. We reserve the right to, but don’t guarantee your letter will be edited. Patch will make the sole determination as to whether content complies with our Terms of Use.

Here are some of the highlights:
- You can’t use this service to make a living
- No defamatory, abusive, obscene, profane or offensive content (none of this F@&#, either)
- Don’t post material you don’t have a license to you (music, pictures, videos etc.)
- Don’t threaten or harass anyone. Do not promote racism, bigotry, hatred, or violence
Basically, state your opinion freely—but “Keep it clean,” “Don’t try to trick people,” and “Treat others as you’d like to be treated.”
