Hail Rocks White Plains

While White Plains waits for severe thunderstorms to approach the City this evening, some have reported seeing giant chunks of hail as early as this afternoon.

Lee Goldberg, ABC TV’s chief meteorologist, just tweeted:

There is a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4 p.m. to about 9 p.m. that bring the possibility of sizable hail, heavy rain and damaging winds, according to the National Weather Service. The 100-degree heat should cool off this evening to about 70 degrees.

There is a slight chance of thunderstorms for Thursday, which is expected to be about 89 degrees.
