Lottery Opens For 40 Affordable Condos For Sale At '6 Cottage' In White Plains

WHITE PLAINS, NY — A great deal on a new home in a desirable location could be in the cards for those who qualify and have a little bit of good luck on their side.

Westchester Residential Opportunities announced that there are 40 new chances for fair and affordable homeownership at 6 Cottage Condominiums, located at 6 Cottage Place in White Plains, and applications for the lottery are now being accepted.

Ten studios, 25 one-bedrooms, and five three-bedrooms are available for sale for those who meet certain income restrictions.

Amenities in the newly renovated, all-affordable building include a lounge, a co-working space, a fitness room, and an outdoor seating area. Three units are adapted for mobility disability, while three units are adapted for hearing/vision disability. All units are adaptable for wheelchair accessibility.

The sale price for a studio ranges from $232,863 to $241,915. The occupancy for the studio is one person.

The sale price for a one-bedroom unit ranges from $270,015 to $287,195, with an occupancy of one to three people.

The sale price for a three-bedroom unit is estimated to be $314,419, with an occupancy of three to seven people.

The condos are available to those with a household income below 100 percent of the average monthly income in the region. In order to qualify, the household sizes and maximum incomes are as follows:

• one-person household, maximum income of $119,000
• two-person household, maximum income of $136,000
• three-person household, maximum income of $153,000
• four-person household, maximum income of $170,000
• five-person household, maximum income of $183,600
• six-person household, maximum income of $197,200
• seven-person household, maximum income of $210,800

In addition, there is an asset limit of $100,000, which does not include qualified retirement and educational savings accounts.

6 Cottage Condominiums are zoned to White Plains Public Schools.
