Man Grabs Beer Off Shelf, Chugs, Refuses to Pay: Cops

Alleged alcohol thief faces a violation charge.

A 27-year-old White Plains man grabbed a Coors Light out of a fridge in the Martine Avenue 7-11, gulped it down and refused to pay, White Plains police said.

The man entered the convenience store Monday at about 4 a.m.—when police arrived, he had already chugged the drink, was highly drunk and was bleeding from one of his hands, police told Patch. Cops said the man was arguing with the clerk.

When police escorted the man out of the store, he continually pushed past them to enter again and assail the 7-11 clerk, according to reports. Cops then arrested the local man and charged him with trespass, a violation.
