The event is free and is being held on Thursday, Sept. 8 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at shopping mall. For more information call 914.421.1333
White Plains will hold a Sept. 11 memorial to honor those who lost their lives during the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. The event will take place at Liberty Park on Lake Street (just before the Harrison boarder) on Friday, Sept. 9 at 7 p.m.
The City is inviting all police, firefighters, emergency service workers and members of the Armed Forces who live or work in White Plains to join the Line of Honor at the ceremony. Those who wish to participate in the Line of Honor should assemble at the park at 6:30 p.m.

In remembrance of Sept. 11, Westchester County and The Volunteer Center of United Way and more than 100 non-profit agencies will encourage volunteering across the county by holding the Serve and Learn: Westchester Remember 9/11 event on Friday, Sept. 9 at the from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

4.) Preview of White Plains Performing Arts Center’s Upcoming Season
The will hold its annual Season Opening Celebration on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 6:30 p.m. The event includes a wine and hor d’oeuvers reception at 6:30 p.m. At 7:30 p.m. preview from the theatre’s upcoming productions will be performed including pieces from “Spring Awakening,” “The Drowsy Chaperone,” “CATS,” “Lend Me a Tenor,” “The Secret Garden” and more.
Tickets are $100 and sponsorship levels range from $1,000 to $5,000. Proceeds from the event support the Conservatory Theatre, an educational youth program. Click here to purchase tickets or call 914.328.1600.
5.) Learn How to Make Your Home Energy Efficient
Those who attend the malls walkers program at mall will also get simple tips to help homeowners save money on energy costs on Friday, Sept. 9 at 9 a.m. in the malls food court on level 4. The event is free, and parking is free for members of the mall walk program, where locals engage in walks around the mall on Tuesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
