4.) White Plains Hospital Therapy Dogs

White Plains Hospital employees Roseanne Braiotta (of New Rochelle), Director of Volunteer Services and Sue Lowden, RN, (of New Rochelle) a nurse on staff, along with their dogs Brady and Molly, recently received their therapy dog re-certification from Delta Society 

Brady and Molly are two of eight dogs in the hospital’s pet therapy program, named Caring Canines, which requires dogs and their owners to be recertified every two-years.

Caring Canines allows therapy dogs and their owners visit with patients offering comfort, love, fun and stress reduction. The program can help lower patient’s blood pressure to improve heart and lung function, decrease anxiety, depression and loneliness. They also provide stress relief for the staff too.
