Neighborhood Know-It-All: Budget Decision, Post Road Performs, Unlimited Wine Night

The City council decides on a budget, second graders at Post Road perform, unlimited wine night and more this week in White Plains

Let’s face it—everyone likes being a know-it-all. Arm yourself with knowledge and find out what’s happening this week in White Plains:

 1.) Post Road Performs “Three of a Kind”

s second grade students will hit the stage to perform “Three of a Kind,” about the search for a missing baby bear. The students will perform on Wed. May 25 at 9:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. in the Post Road Theatre.

2.) City Ponders Budgets and Interns

The White Plains Common Council will hold a special meeting at Mon. May 23 at 5:30 p.m. to make put the finishing touches on the City’s 2011-12 budget, before they vote on it at their meeting on Thurs. May 26.

3.) American Cancer Society Awards White Plains Hospital Doctor

The American Cancer Society, at the annual Diamond Luncheon and Boutique, honored Dr. Randy E. Stevens of Scarsdale—the director of at — on May 20, at the . Congratulations Dr. Stevens!

4.) Pet Food Pantry Open for Business

To avoid pet owners from having to give up their best furry friends during these hard economic times, White Plains resident Susan Katz opened up a pet food pantry to serve Hudson Valley pet owners in need.

5.) Open Mic/Unlimited Wine Nights

You can jump on the microphone while the house band plays on Tuesday nights at —every Tuesday is open mic night from 9 p.m. until midnight.

Did you know that Wednesday night is unlimited wine night from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. for $20 per person? We didn’t, but are glad we do now!
