2.) Pageant Crowns Safely Stored at Buffalo Wild Wings Vault

The four Austrian crystal crowns to be presented to the winners of the Miss Westchester, Miss Westchester Teen and Miss Hudson Valley, Miss Hudson Valley Teen pageants were safely stored in a bank vault at in White Plains.

Miss Westchester 2011 Christina DeLeon and Miss Westchester Teen 2011 Samantha Gold delivered the crowns on Sunday where they will stay until the pageants are held at the on Sept. 4.

White Plains Patch editor Dina Sciortino will sever as one of the pagaent's guest media judges for the photogenic and style awards. The teen pageant will start at 6 p.m. and the misses pageant at 8 p.m. Click here for more information and to purchase tickets. 

3.) Castelli Joins Citizens Campaign for the Environment in Asking for Extension on Hydrofracking Commenting

Assemblyman Robert Castelli (R, C—Goldens Bridge) and the Hudson Valley Chapter of the Citizens Campaign for the Environment, based in White Plains, are asking the Department of Environmental Conservation to hold public hearings and extend the public comment period on state hydrofracking guidelines from 60 to 180 days. 5.) White Plains Hospital Welcomes White Plains Surgical Specialists

White Plains Surgical Specialists—previously known as Weber, Weber and Yee—is now a part of White Plains Hospital. It is the first member of the newly formed White Plains Hospital Physician Associates, which works to partner local physicians with the hospital.
