Neighborhood Know-It-All: School Budget/Candidate Vote, City Budget Decision Night, Free Concert

Let’s face it—everyone likes being a know-it-all. Arm yourself with knowledge and find out what’s happening this week in White Plains:

1.)

2.) White Plains School Board/Budget Vote

White Plains will vote on the 2011-12 school budget and for two candidates to serve on the Tuesday between noon and 9 p.m. Click for voting information and more  the budget and candidates. Check back with us for coverage of the vote Tuesday night on Twitter, Facebook and our main page.

The White Plains Common Council will hold a special meeting Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. and to make final decision on the 2011-12 city budget. The council will vote on the budget at a special meeting on May 26.

4.) Lawsuit Against Parking Commissioner Dropped

According to The Journal News, an age discrimination lawsuit filed by a city parking enforcement officer against White Plains Parking Commissioner Albert Moroni, also the recreation parks commissioner, has been dropped four months after an identical suit by another officers was dismissed.
