City tennis courts are open, White Plains High School competes on quiz show, the library plans an upgrade and more.

Tennis Anyone?

The City’s tennis courts at 85 Gedney Way, and, 110 Lake St., are open for the 2011 season. To use the tennis courts you must have a current recreation ID. Contact the White Plains Recreation and Parks Department at 914.422.1398 and 914.422.1348 for court hours and more information.

White Plains Library Envisions Upgrade

Public Hearing at Regual Board of Education Meeting  
Two public hearings—on the 2011-12 proposed budget and the district’s safety plan/code of conduct—will be conducted at the White Plains Board of Education meeting on May 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the media center at White Plains High School. Click on the PDF for the full agenda.

Car Seat Safety
White Plains will offer car seat inspections and advice, in Spanish and English, on the first level of the City Center Parking Garage on Wed. May 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Click here for more information.

WPHS Makes it to Round 3 in Quiz Show
