Outages and Yard Debris Pick-up in White Plains

The City will pick up fallen branches from Saturday's storm, that caused 135 White Plains to be without power.

White Plains is reporting 135 Con Edison customers to be without power—down from about 2,500 outages of Con Edison’s 23,854 White Plains customers who lost power as a result of Saturday’s snowstorm. Restoration time has been pushed back an hour to Nov. 3 at 1 a.m., according to Con Edison's outage map.

“We remain in continuing contact with Con Edison, however, due to the widespread nature of the storm damage and the severe impact up-county, restoration efforts may continue to be delayed, particularly to single home outages,” said the City’s website.

The City is advising residents to call the mayor’s office at 914.422.1411 if they are in need of assistance. Con Edison is offering dry ice from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Midway Shopping Center, 955 Central Park Ave. in Yonkers/Scarsdale; IBM/Town Park, 205 Business Park Dr., Armonk; and BJ’s, 3303 Crompound Rd., Yorktown Heights.

The City can’t pick up branches or debris more than 4 feet in length and three inches in diameter. This includes parts of a full tree, like stumps, limbs or logs. Do not mix branch and twig bundles with grass or leaves.
