Police: Hit and Run Suspect Caught With PCP
The following arrest information was provided by the White Plains Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

A White Plains man suspected in a hit and run in Yonkers faces a felony drug possession charge after police say they found marijuana laced with P.C.P in his pocket after arresting him on Battle Avenue.
Police were responding to a call for a blue BMW fleeing the scene of an accident traveling on Central Avenue toward White Plains. When police found a vehicle with plates matching the vehicle involved in the accident, they noticed Eric Hines, 30, standing next the blue BMW.
Hines was acting nervous as police approached, and police say he refused to put his hands at his sides as police placed him under arrest—earning him a citation for resisting arrest.

While transporting Hines to police headquarters they say he tried to hide a blue Zip-Loc bag containing the drugs, but dropped it on the floor of the police cruiser. Police say they also found three more bags in his right hand.
Hines, of 34 S Kensico Ave., was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance—a felony. He could face additional charges out of Yonkers for the alleged hit and run. Because Hines had two active warrants out of Greenburgh he was turned over to that jurisdiction soon after his arrest.
