Police: Man Caught During 3rd Petty Larceny Try

The following arrest information was provided by the White Plains Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

After a White Plains man was charged with petty larceny, police say store surveillance video resulted in two more charges after the suspect was spotted stealing from the same store two times before he was caught, police say.

The 46-year-old man, who is homeless according to an arrest report, was arrested July 27 after police say he stole items from on S Broadway. When police looked at surveillance from earlier in the month, they say the same man walked into the store and stole $630 worth of Nike golf shirts on July 22 and $219.99 worth of Nike sneakers on July 18.

Police added two separate petty larceny charges to the original charge and are still looking into the possibility of more thefts, said White Plains Police Lt. Eric Fischer.
