[POLL] What Do You Think of the Digital Signs in White Plains?

What do you think about the new 15 digital display signs around White Plains?
The City originally partnered with Clear Channel Outdoor digital advertising company in 2009 in install seven digitals signs at various municipal parking garage entrances, according to a City press release.

The project was recently expanded and now includes 15 signs, which rotate advertisements in an 8 second loops, every 60 seconds in a 24-hour rotation.
The City gets 2 million free spots each year to promote its events and other information. The City can also use it as another way to display emergency or weather-related information to citizens and vistory (the City recently started for residents and those who sign-up).

Non-profit organizations will receive discounted rates if they advertise on the digital display network. Members of the White Plains Business Improvement District receive 40 percent off advertising rates, as well as free design and logo help from Clear Channel’s design team. “This digital communications network will connect the City, providing residents, visitors and businesses alike with information about our community and, importantly it gives the City another means of communicating with the public in an emergency situation,” said Mayor Tom Roach.
However, some residents aren’t feeling the look of these signs.
Sandra Parrott, 60, who has lived in White Plains for 15 years, said the signs are downright “tacky" and detract from the quality of the City.
