Previous Drunk Driver Nabbed With Cracked Windshield, No License: Police

White Plains police nabbed a man who was driving with a cracked windshield and no license near the Fisher Avenue-Lafayette Street intersection Wednesday of last week at 9 a.m., police said.

Cops pulled over the driver—a 29-year-old New City resident—after spotting his damaged windshield. After a brief investigation, police learned the driver had no license, and had previously been booked for a DWI in 2006, cops said.

The man was only able to identify himself with an Ecuadorian passport, cops added.

The driver was arrested, charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree, a misdemeanor, and transported to police headquarters.

His van was released to passengers who had valid licenses, police said.
