Search for Cell Phone Ends in Alleged Assault
A 22-year-old man who resides at the Open Arms Men Shelter, 86 E. Post Rd., was charged with misdemeanor assault in the third degree, after allegedly punching a fellow shelter resident on Tuesday.
According to police reports, the 22-year-old was told that staff members had his cell phone. When staff members told him they didn’t have the phone, he was allegedly taunted by fellow residents. He then allegedly assualted a 21-year-old, causing the victim to sustain lacerations and scrapes to the face. The victim told police, who arrived around 11:30 p.m., that he was laughing along with the others, but didn’t do anything to provoke the attack.

Man Skips Out on Cab Fare
Carmel Car & Limo gave a male a ride from New York City to 7 Lake St. in White Plains. The man refused to pay the fare before exiting the car Tuesday. Police knocked on the door and left a message on the man’s cell phone, but could not find the man who skipped out on his fare.

Stolen Sweater at Burberry
Employees of Burberry at The Westchester notified police that a black male in a hooded sweatshirt entered their store on Tuesday around 12:43 p.m. and left without paying for a $315 sweatshirt. Police are investigating the report.
