Shoplifter Leads Store Security, Cops on Chase: Police
Orange County man faces felony charge.

A thief who swiped over $3,000 worth of Burberry clothing led Bloomingdale’s security and White Plains cops on a lengthy foot chase before ending up in handcuffs, local police said.
The alleged shoplifter—27-year-old Devin Guy from Orange County—entered the store last Saturday at about 5 p.m. and began stealing, according to police.
Store security gave chase when they saw Guy pilfer $3,300 worth of merchandise, but Guy disappeared, police said.

When White Plains police arrived on the scene, Bloomingdale’s security hopped in the squad car to help find Guy. The group soon spotted him on Mamaroneck Avenue, and a second chase ensued—this time ending with Guy in custody.
Police said the alleged thief also had two anti-security magnets on him.

Guy has been charged with grand larceny in the third degree, a felony, and criminal possession of an anti-security item, a misdemeanor.
