Storm Clears, No Power For Dozens in City

Con Edison is reporting several power outages throughout Westchester County, including more than 100 homes in White Plains as of 8:15 a.m.

Several pockets of White Plains remain without power after a powerful wind and rain storm passed through the region Tuesday evening.

About 135 homes are still without power as of 9 a.m. Wednesday, according to estimates from Con Edison. More than 2,000 City homes were without power at some point Tuesday evening, but most were restored overnight, according to the company.

Con Ed expects to restore power to the remaining homes by 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the worst of the weather is already behind us, according to the National Weather Service. Sunny skies and only light winds are expected on Wednesday with a high temperature near 70 degrees.
