Teens Vandalize Burger Joint, Tussle With Cops: Police

Two White Plains officers hospitalized for hand injuries.

A ruckus at burger joint Five Guys on Main Street in White Plains last Friday turned into a small melee between Bronx teens and city cops, authorities said.

Police were alerted at 10:49 p.m. on April 26 that a teen was having a spat with employees at the fast food chain; the 16-year-old Bronx kid kicked the business' glass door, causing $400 in damages, and then fled, police said.

When cops caught up with the teen, two other 16-year-olds—one from the Bronx, and the other from Carmel—interfered, police said. The teens resisted arrest, and two officers injured their hands in the effort.
