[VIDEO] White Plains Among 100 Best Communities For Young People

America's Promise Alliance named White Plains as one of the 100 Best Communities for Young People

America's Promise Alliance—an organization founded in 1997 by Gen. Colin Powell to help young people graduate and succeed—announced White Plains as one of the winners of its annual “100 Best Communities for Young People” competition Wednesday, during a webcast sponsored by IMG.

White Plains' application—complied by the City, White Plains School District, and various local organizations—was chosen out of 300 communities who applied for the award, which comes with a $2,500 grant.

Check out our video of a press conference held at 360 Hamilton Ave. where local officials, organizations, business owners and residents gathered to watch the webcast.
