Meet experts and attend workshops, mini-talks, and presentations and get practical advice about essential heath and childcare information. Teddy Bear Clinic
When/Where: Saturday, March 24, from 8-10:30 a.m. at in Mount Kisco
Why Go: The hospital invites children ages 3 and up to visit the Emergency Department on Saturday with their best stuffed friend. There they will find the Teddy Bear Clinic where staff will examine the bears, demonstrate casting, suturing, IV therapy, x-rays and more. Also, there will be ambulance tours and bike safety tips. The event is a great way for kids to learn and get comfortable with a hospital setting and its procedures.

KVIS Spring Wine Tasting Goes “Global”

Why Go: In its annual tradition, the Katonah Village Improvement Society hosts a Spring Wine Tasting. It is a chance to sip, nibble and schmooze with friends and neighbors.
Travel from hilly Katonah to the côtes of the Rhône, the dramatic foothills of the Andes, the arid plains of Spain and the cool climes of the Pacific Northwest. Be transported by harmonious blends from Austria and vivid reds from Australia...sweet delights from Germany and savory sips from Italy...not to mention new-fangled bottling’s from New Zealand, California even Portugal.

“Wildman” Steve Brill at Stone Barns
Where/When: Sunday, March 25, from 1-3 p.m. at
Why Go: Join a wild food and ecology tour led by naturalist and author, “Wildman” Steve Brill. Forage the grounds’ thickets, streams, woodlands and plant communities for herbs, greens, edibles and whatever else. Everyone should be dressed for the weather and bring drinking water, plastic bags for veggies and herbs and paper bags for mushrooms. A digging tool is optional.
Price: $20. Appropriate for adults and youth ages 6-14.

Three Comedians in Brewster
When/Where: Saturday, March 24, 6 p.m. at in Brewster.
Why Go: Three comedians from HBO and Comedy Central will be performing and dinner will be served at the event to benefit Animal Kingdom USA Wildlife Rehabilitation and Rescue. Come out for some fun and support the non-profit AKUSAWR, which is a wildlife rehabilitation and rescue organization that also offers an emergency hotline. There will be raffles and door prizes too.
