Westchester, CSEA Union Reach Agreement On 5-Year Contract
The union employees will be getting up to a 3 percent raise over the course of the agreement, which is retroactive to Jan. 1.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — Westchester County reached an agreement with the county employees’ union.
County Executive George Latimer said the new five-year agreement is retroactive and began Jan. 1 and will end Dec. 31, 2027.
The agreement is between the county and Civil Service Employees Association, Inc., Local 1000, American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO, Westchester County Local 860, Unit 9200.

According to the county, the agreement covers compensation, insurance, certain leaves and other items pertaining to the county’s dedicated workforce.
The new contract provides for 2.75 percent pay increases for the first three years of the agreement and 3 percent increases for the fourth and fifth years.

Latimer said residents rely on the services of the county workforce each and every day.
“This agreement is a manifestation of the efforts of building a strong relationship with the dedicated public servants who call the county an employer each day,” he said. “We respect the professionalism of those who work in government service.”
The agreement has been approved by the Board of Legislators and was voted on and approved by the union.
County departments with the largest number of CSEA workers include social services, environmental facilities, parks, recreation and conservation, health and public work and transportation.
