Westchester-Owned Golf Courses Set To Open For Season

Depending on weather and conditions, the 2023 golf season is about to get underway.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — Dust off the clubs and find the golf shoes, because — weather and conditions permitting — Westchester’s county-owned golf courses are set to open for the season.

Opening day will be Wednesday, March 15, according to a county news release.

“Spring is around the corner,” County Executive George Latimer said, “which means the 2023 golf season is about to get underway.”

He said the county is proud to provide excellence and a strong commitment to our public courses that provide county residents with high-end conditions at affordable prices.

Tee time reservations may be made online for Park Pass holders and non-Park Pass holders or by phoning the individual courses. Walk-up reservations will also be accepted.

The courses are Dunwoodie and Sprain Lake in Yonkers, Hudson Hills in Ossining, Maple Moor in White Plains, Mohansic in Yorktown Heights and Saxon Woods in Scarsdale.

All the courses have onsite restaurants, halfway houses and full-service pro shops. Driving ranges are available at Dunwoodie, Mohansic, Saxon Woods and Sprain Lake.

Any available E-Z Reserve spots will be sold at the courses. E-Z Reserve enables golfers with a Westchester County Park Pass to block out a regular Saturday or Sunday tee time for a period of 30 weeks.
