White Plains Beats the Heat

City go-ers sat in the shade, ate ice cream and drank tons of water and ice coffee to dodge Wednesday's scorching weather.

The temperature climbed to 97 degrees in White Plains Wednesday. The National Weather Service, who issued an air quality alert outlook until 1o p.m., says Thursday should remain hot and hazy at 96 degrees. Tomorrow's air quality alert will run from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m.
