White Plains Approves $244.8 Million Budget
There were also three other propositions on the ballot.
WHITE PLAINS, NY — Voters in the White Plains City School District were asked Tuesday to approve a $244.8 million budget for the 2022-23 school year.
The spending package, which is up 6.65 percent from the current year, was overwhelmingly approved 1,015 to 109, according to unofficial results.

- Bond resolution authorizing spending up to $114 million from the district's Capital Reserve Fund 2019 and issuing up to $60 million in bonds for renovations and improvements to district buildings. It was approved.
- Authorization to spend $12.65 million from the Capital Reserve Fund 2019 for ventilation, filtration and air conditioning improvements to district buildings. It was approved.
- Establishing a Capital Reserve Fund 2022 to a maximum of $50 million over 15 years. It was approved.
Two seats on the Board of Education were filled, each for a three-year term of office, beginning July 1. Incumbents Sheryl Brady and Charlie Norris ran unopposed.
