White Plains Mall Evacuated After Grease Fire
Patrons were allowed back in the mall within a half hour, after White Plains Firefighters put out the flames on the roof of 200 Hamilton Ave Thursday morning.

Shoppers at the White Plains Mall had to drop their potential purchases and leave their spots on line at the Department of Motor Vehicles Thursday when a small fire broke out on the roof of 200 Hamilton Ave.
The White Plains Fire Department was called in at 10:40 a.m. after workers ignited food grease while using a torch to seal a McDonald’s grease duct on the roof. Firefighters had the fire out in less than 10 minutes, and mall patrons were allowed back in about a half hour.
